How to Improve Your Brand's AI Visibility in 30 Days

A practical four-week plan for improving how often AI assistants mention your brand — with measurable milestones at each stage.

Improving AI visibility is not a single action — it's a compounding set of changes that, over weeks and months, shift how AI systems perceive and reference your brand. This plan breaks the first 30 days into focused phases, each building on the last.

Week 1: Measure your baseline

You cannot improve what you have not measured. Before making any changes, run a thorough scan of your AI visibility across ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews. Document your current mention rate for each platform, note the prompts where you appear versus where you don't, and record your competitors' mention rates for the same prompts.

This baseline is your reference point. Every action in weeks 2–4 will be evaluated against it. Without it, you will have no way to know whether your changes are working.

Week 2: Audit and clarify your entity signals

AI systems construct a model of your brand from signals across the web. Inconsistencies in how your brand is described create noise that reduces confidence in AI responses. Your week 2 task is to audit and align these signals.

Check your website's Organisation schema markup — is it complete and accurate? Review your Google Business Profile, Crunchbase listing, LinkedIn company page, and any industry directory listings. Are your category, description, and key attributes consistent across all of them?

Write a single canonical brand description — one or two sentences that precisely captures what you do and who you serve — and ensure it appears consistently everywhere your brand is described online.

Week 3: Build question-answering content

AI assistants are trained to answer questions. Your week 3 priority is creating content that directly and clearly answers the questions your target customers are asking AI assistants about your category.

Research the specific prompts and phrasings customers use. What questions do they ask ChatGPT when looking for solutions you provide? Create dedicated content — blog posts, FAQ pages, guides — that addresses these questions with clear, direct, authoritative answers.

Reach out to industry publications, partner blogs, and relevant community spaces to have your brand mentioned in content that answers these questions. Third-party citations carry more weight than self-authored content.

Week 4: Measure, learn, iterate

At the end of week 4, run the same scan you ran in week 1. Compare your current mention rate to your baseline across each platform and prompt category. Look for patterns: did certain prompt types show improvement? Are there platforms where you made more progress than others?

This comparison tells you which of your week 2 and 3 actions had the most impact. Use it to prioritise your month 2 work. AI visibility improvement compounds over time — brands that measure consistently and iterate based on data build durable advantages over those that work from intuition.

BrandPulse makes this measurement cycle automatic. Scheduled scans on paid plans mean you always have up-to-date visibility data without manual effort, so you can focus on the work that actually moves the needle.
